Marketing website for an energy and marine services company, built with Next.js and shipped with a full technical SEO foundation from day one.
Ballast Systems and Technology is an oil & gas and marine services company offering equipment procurement (drilling tools, machinery parts, safety gear) and marine services (vessel chartering, fleet management, logistics). The site needed a professional, credible online presence that could actually convert inquiries into consultations.
As a service business competing for enterprise and government contracts in the energy sector, the site needed to establish trust fast — clear service breakdowns, an easy path to contact, and technical SEO done right from the start rather than patched in later.
Built a clean marketing site on Next.js with distinct sections for Industry Solutions (Oil & Gas Equipment, Marine Services), a dedicated Services page, About, and Contact. Handled metadata properly across the board: canonical URLs, Open Graph and Twitter card data, keyword-targeted meta descriptions, and a LocalBusiness JSON-LD schema with full address and contact details for local search visibility. Set up robots.ts and sitemap.ts for clean crawlability, and configured explicit indexing directives for Google.
A fully operational, live corporate site at ballast.com.ng with a solid technical SEO foundation — structured data, sitemap, canonical domain handling, and social sharing metadata all in place at launch rather than bolted on afterward.
Client project for an energy/marine services company based in Gwagwalada, Abuja. Fully operational and live.
